Carrtoons

I love drawing cartoons like this one.

 

I have never illustrated one of my books with my cartoons but I would like to one day. Sometimes when I send a children’s book to a publisher I also send some rough cartoons to show how I think the pictures might work with the words. Here is one of the drawings I did for my book “Treasure Hunt”.  The coloured picture below it is the one that Terry Burton did when he illustrated the book. Can you spot the differences?

 

 

 

I draw a cartoon every week for a farmers’ newspaper and sometimes I just draw cartoons to get my grandchildren to eat their food.

 

The cartoon below is a carton cartoon. It didn’t get into a book but it does appear on the cartons of a brand of free range eggs.
